Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Cashier<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Process all receipts (cheques, banker\u2019s drafts and Pay in Slips) onto customer accounts accurately and promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Track return cheques and provide timely reports and reversals when they happen<\/li>\n<li>Perform daily Cash Recon to ensure that receipts and postings were captured accurately during the day.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Credit Controller\/Treasurer with decision making about the credit worthiness of customers.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Reconciliation Accountant to clear outstanding reconciliation items.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping AR unapplied balances at a minimum<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all receipted cheques are banked on due dates into Vivo Energy Ghana accounts before 4:00 pm..<\/li>\n<li>Any other job related duties to be assigned from time to time by the Treasurer.<\/li>\n<li>Training of back up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Challenges:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Timely and accurate processing of transactions<\/li>\n<li>Work under pressure especially at (month-ends), to meet and achieve tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of customer \/sales requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assertive \/professional approach when communicating to customers both internally and externally<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good written and oral communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Fast and accurate data input skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Customer focus<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work autonomously while keeping other team members informed as appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and time constraints<\/li>\n<li>Ability to recognize issues, attempt resolution and escalate problems if unable to resolve<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical competencies<\/li>\n<li>Ability to adapt to changing environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deal with competing priorities and complex issues<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead a team and coach people for performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Ms Outlook,<\/li>\n<li>Very good English (written and oral)<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of accounting controls<\/li>\n<li>Desired knowledge of SAP accounting system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Min. 2 years of experience in accounting environment, with experience in several accounting processes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in bank cashiering as well as cheque processing will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in SAP receipting will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain a degree in Accounting or Finance related area from a recognize University degree<\/li>\n<li>Some ongoing professional certification will be a
