\nSUPERVISES:\u00a0Programmers, Business Systems Support Engineers And Analysts<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Document business requirements using formalism such Unified Modelling Language (UML) or other object-oriented modeling tools;
\n\u2022 Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met;
\n\u2022 Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation;
\n\u2022 Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance;
\n\u2022 Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to ensure optimum design;
\n\u2022 Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements;
\n\u2022 Write computer programs of higher complexity or with specific performance, connectivity or business logic requirements;
\n\u2022 Elaborate Enterprise Software and Hardware Architecture orientation and monitor compliance to design principles and guidelines;
\n\u2022 Supervise the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Minimum of five years working experience in a related programming environment;
\n\u2022 Certification in a programming tool\/language is an advantage; and,
\n\u2022 have at least 10 years relevant post-second degree qualification experience.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Requires a good knowledge of Unix and Database Management Systems (DBMS);
\n\u2022 Excellent knowledge of structured query language (SQL);
\n\u2022 A good knowledge of Oracle Weblogic server and Application Development Framework (ADF);
\n\u2022 Expertise in application development using oracle\u2019s PL\/SQL, Java Application Development, C++ and .Net Framework;
\n\u2022 Hands-on experience in programming;
\n\u2022 Ability to maintain a professional behaviour in all situations;
\n\u2022 Excellent oral and written communication skills;
\n\u2022 Ability to Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;
\n\u2022 Excellent project management skills;
\n\u2022 Able to communicate well with stakeholders at all levels;
