{"id":53469,"date":"2020-12-04T09:27:28","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T09:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=53469"},"modified":"2020-12-04T09:27:28","modified_gmt":"2020-12-04T09:27:28","slug":"ghana-institute-of-journalism-jobs-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ghana-institute-of-journalism-jobs-2020.html","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Institute of Journalism Jobs 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legal Counsel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A person seeking appointment as a Legal Counsel must be an individual who understands the university environment and the management of higher education in Ghana as well as higher education laws and national policies<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific roles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Head of the Legal Department of the Institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Serve as a the Chief legal adviser of the institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Act for the institute on all legal matters<br \/>\n\u2022 Vet and review all agreements and contracts of the institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Draft, review and interpret all agreements involving or concerning the institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure that the institute complies with all national legislayion and regulations on higher education<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with external solicitors where required<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist in the conduct of all disciplinary processes in the institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Attend committee and other meetings as designated<br \/>\n\u2022 Represent or ensure appropriate representation in all dispute resolution proceedings<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct all external relations that have legal implications on behalf of the institute<br \/>\n\u2022 Discharge any other assignments that shall be deemed necessary for the legal department to perform<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must possess a minimum of LLM from a recognized University<br \/>\n\u2022 Be at least 8 years at the BAR and a member of the Ghana Bar Association<br \/>\n\u2022 Have a minimum of 5 years working experience.
