{"id":53622,"date":"2020-12-09T14:16:23","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T14:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=53622"},"modified":"2020-12-09T14:16:23","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T14:16:23","slug":"anglogold-ashanti-ghana-limited-jobs-2020-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/anglogold-ashanti-ghana-limited-jobs-2020-10.html","title":{"rendered":"AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited Jobs 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"LEFT\">AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently in a redevelopment phase which will lead to a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.\u00a0 The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Safety Officer \u2013 Underground<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this role is to provide professional advice, support and oversight compliance in terms of occupational health and safety in the underground environment. It further seeks to augment the labour strength of the safety department across the operations.<\/p>\n<p>The new Safety Officer \u2013 Underground will be resourced to manage occupational health and safety issues in the underground environment. The designated will cover all underground mining operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support and maintain section health and safety management system through OSHAS18001 or ISO45001 SMS requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct workplace OHS inspections at designated section at regular intervals and produce inspections reports with associated timelines<\/li>\n<li>Manage risk assessments at section according to Obuasi Mine Hazard and Identification Risk Assessment and Control Procedure<\/li>\n<li>Report to accident\/incident scene and produce draft incident notifications.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate section incident investigations and produce timely investigation reports.<\/li>\n<li>Upload recommendations from incident investigations into the Workforce Management Reporting System (WMRS) for tracking purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Follow through recommendations and upload evidence of completion into the WMRS.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate safety related training and inductions at section and retain associated records<\/li>\n<li>Align with designated contractors to ensure AGAG OHS required audits are completed and reports shared<\/li>\n<li>Audit contractors as per AGAG OHS requirements and produce timely audit report of recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Support the Emergency Management Services (EMS) team develop mock scenarios to measure the emergency preparedness response of designated section<\/li>\n<li>Produce debriefing reports to identify non-conformances and opportunities for improvement for tracking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certificate of Competency \u2013 Ghana Minerals Commission<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of Health &amp; Safety \u2013 NEBSOH IGC \/ CSP<\/li>\n<li>Must have a BSc.
