The College Librarian at Enchi College of Education provides leadership in advancing the College\u2019s teaching and research mission through a clear vision of the library\u2019s role, comprehensive strategic planning, incorporation of emerging technology, sound fiscal management and engagement of all members in the college community.<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0College Librarian\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n He\/ she has overall responsibility for library, research and information needs of the college community. Specifically, the College Librarian\u2019s duties shall include:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Drawing up and monitoring the implementation of College Library Strategic Plan; Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Applicant must possess postgraduate degree in a library and information-related field. \n\u2022 Directing and coordinating the components of the library i.e. staff, services, collections and external relations;
\n\u2022 Establishing and maintaining procedures, policies and systems that make for efficient library operation;
\n\u2022 Planning, organising, coordinating and measuring the work activities of all library personnel;
\n\u2022 Representing the library in contacts with Administration and Committees of the College; and
\n\u2022 Collaboration with the relevant and appropriate institutional libraries and organisations within and outside the country in order to keep up with development trends and attain exposure to developed systems.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Seven (7) certified copies of all relevant certificates (the originals shall be inspected at the interview of shortlisted candidates)
\n\u2022 Sealed letters of recommendation from two (2) referees
\n\u2022 Seven (7) copies of two-page type-written statement of how the performance of their roles would support the Principal to achieve the College\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n
