The right candidate thrives in transformation environments and builds a collaborative environment to engage stakeholders and build their understanding of operations, data and insight.<\/p>\n<p>This role is designed to improve outcomes in 3 key areas while supporting the right balance of change for the company:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Technical Services Manager \u2013 Underground Mining\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse mining production information to understand areas for improvement<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute production improvement programs<\/li>\n<li>Optimise the mine plan for high production and low costs<\/li>\n<li>Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes<\/li>\n<li>Identify key risks in the short and long term mine plans and mitigate risks with innovative and sustainable solutions<\/li>\n<li>Pit designs and short term LOM schedules<\/li>\n<li>Ensure blast design is consistent, minimising dilution whilst optimising fragmentation and geotechnical controls;<\/li>\n<li>Technical Support of Tailings Storage Facility construction as required<\/li>\n<li>Management of associated mining infrastructure engineering management e.g. stockpiles, waste dumps and water treatment systems<\/li>\n<li>Develop section budgets and participate in mine budgeting process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree qualification in Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Extensive mine planning experience in underground and ideally open pit gold operations is critical for success<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in Surpac, MineSched and Blastware is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a range of key internal stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to training and development of team<\/li>\n<li>Strong safety focus<\/li>\n<li>A willingness to work in a multicultural environment \u2013 previous expatriate \/ african experience is highly desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whats on offer:<\/p>\n<p>Competitive remuneration packaging including bonus incentives (potential tax advantages),<\/p>\n<p>The role is a residential hybrid role, offering 3x business flights home per year, etc. With a generous $USD expat package + bonus, can bring a partner if you choose.\u00a0Medical insurance, Modern housing, Golf Club, Swimming pools, gym and pool tables.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to be considered, please provide an updated cv and contact details to<strong>\u00a0emma.clark@ascension-global.com.au<\/strong>, shortlisting to be conducted immediately.
