The ideal candidate will also be responsible for preparing cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Technical Estimator\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.<\/li>\n<li>Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.<\/li>\n<li>Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.<\/li>\n<li>Visit sites and other venues necessary to do the estimate<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree \/ HND in Building Technology, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (MS Excel, Word).<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in CAD Software eg. AutoCAD.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in analyzing information and translating it into other formats for the purpose of a tender\/bid.<\/li>\n<li><strong>5+<\/strong>\u00a0years of relevant experience of working in the\u00a0<strong>construction industry\u00a0<\/strong>in a similar role is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of project management .<\/li>\n<li>Good time-management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing Information, Estimating, Planning, Strategic Planning and\u00a0 Attention to Detail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking for a hardworking Technical Estimator to join our team!
