The ideal candidate must have a strong business management as well as engineering (production, chemical or mechanical) background with demonstrable production management experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversees the overall management and effective operation of the Kimminic Jatropha Extraction and Biodiesel Plant<\/li>\n<li>Ensures effective ongoing management of the plant operation including the jatropha pressing, fertilizer production, oil pre-refining, bio-diesel production, and power generation<\/li>\n<li>Provides support in the preparation, coordination &amp; execution of equipment purchases &amp; delivery receipt from selected manufacturers for the jatropha pressing, fertilizer production, oil pre-refining, bio-diesel production, and power generation<\/li>\n<li>Provides support in the preparation, coordination and implementation of the plant construction including the jatropha pressing, fertilizer production, oil pre-fining, bio-diesel production, and power generation<\/li>\n<li>Ensures ongoing communication and coordination with the Site Project Manager (PM) and the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) during project implementation, project commissioning, and start-up operation<\/li>\n<li>Assists in the selection and development of all other technical personnel in Ghana for the mechanical press and pre-fining, the bio-diesel production and the power generation<\/li>\n<li>Prepares, ensures &amp; co-ordinates effective &amp; smooth transitioning from plant commissioning to regular plant operation<\/li>\n<li>Ensures and coordinates adequate vendor training and ongoing development of all key technical personnel<\/li>\n<li>Assists the global marketing team to develop strategic market partnerships and manage key customers and distribution partners<\/li>\n<li>Oversees the work of the local marketing management team<\/li>\n<li>Ensures ongoing communication to top management in all strategic affairs<\/li>\n<li>Maintains effective external relations with shareholders, strategic partners and affiliates of the corporation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree in mechanical or chemical\/biochemical engineering and second degree in Business Administration with operations management experience<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years post qualification management experience in a similar position in the oil extraction and\/or refining industry<\/li>\n<li>Experience with oilseed extraction processes and their operation is a definite asset<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the oil extraction processes and associated chemical input requirements<\/li>\n<li>Understanding &amp; skills in the petroleum industry quality control procedures &amp; computerised control systems<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of preventative maintenance management<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of operations scheduling and transportation logistics (facility to port logistics)<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals at multiple levels<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze information, plan and to define and solve problems<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build sustainable community and business unit level relations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should send their CVs and application forms to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@kimminic.com\">hr@kimminic.com<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>If you do not hear from us after the deadline, please consider yourself unsuccessful<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Offer valid till:\u00a027 Sep, 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A reputable agro-based company located in Yeji, Brong Ahafo has a vacancy for a general manager.
