Buyer Senior &#8211; Ahafo Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The successful candidate will report to the Local Sourcing Manager and will work as part of a team focused on the development and implementation of long term sustainable policy for the development of Local Ghanaian Suppliers and Contractors at National Level, in accordance with company agreed program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in the creation and management of National\u00a0Vendor Registration Process<\/li>\n<li>Act as a facilitator within Supply Service Management (SCM) department to ensure that Newmont&#8217;s commitments outlined in the Local Sourcing Policy and Ghana Legislative requirements at the national level are met<\/li>\n<li>Support and supervise International Finance Corporation&#8217;s contractual responsibilities in respect to the National Linkages Program, on behalf of the Ghana Chamber of Mines<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with targeted suppliers and vendors to ensure that capacity building and supplier development meet required standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a degree or Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply and a\u00a0 member of CIPS<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 6 years&#8217; experience in Sourcing and Procurement gained from the mining industry or allied suppliers is a desirable<\/li>\n<li>Ability to organize, set priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skill and ability to drive with a valid Ghana Driver&#8217;s License<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>2.\u00a0Geomet Modeller &#8211; Ahafo Operations<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The successful candidate will report to the Resource Estimation Manager and will provide technical and leadership support of projects in the mining, development or exploration programs with the goal of improving project viability and discovering new economic gold ounces to extend mine life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure\u00a0adequate spatial coverage of metallurgical recovery sampling of project\u00a0in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Analyze exploratory data of Geometallurgical\u00a0Parameters (Statistical analysis)<\/li>\n<li>Provide exploration software training to the exploration team periodically<\/li>\n<li>Improve project viability by updating Geometallurgical &#8220;BINGO&#8221; Chart for stage\u00a0gate requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in Geological Engineering or Geology<\/li>\n<li>Must have a minimum experience of 6 years in exploration, development of mining geology with an understanding in mineral project feasibility<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in 3D geologic and mineral resource modeling tools such as (Minesight3D, Newmont TSS and Leapfrog 3D)<\/li>\n<li>Must have a medium level Statistical and Geostatistical evaluation strengths<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>3.\u00a0Emergency Response Team Member &#8211; Akyem Project<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The successful candidate will assist team members in protecting personnel, assets, community and ensure a safe working environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all emergency response\u00a0equipment is maintained and ready for operational use<\/li>\n<li>Conduct\/review audits and any remedial\u00a0actions<\/li>\n<li>Pro-actively participate\u00a0in management strategies to manage environmental impact\/risk<\/li>\n<li>Support\u00a0Health, Safety and Loss Prevention department in any of their activities as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least Senior High School certificate or equivalent and first aid or medical support qualifications<\/li>\n<li>Have thorough knowledge of emergency operating procedures and practices<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge in firefighting, vehicle extrication, vertical rope rescue, hazardous etc<\/li>\n<li>Possess certificate in\u00a0Emergency Response and Mine Rescue<\/li>\n<li>Must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>4.\u00a0Licensing &amp;
