In Ghana, UNICEF cooperates with the Government and other partners to defend the rights of children and help them fulfill their potential. With offices in Accra and Tamale, the UNICEF team seeks to achieve results in strategic programme areas. The overall goal is for every child to survive and thrive, to live in a safe and clean environment, to learn, to be protected from violence and exploitation, and to have an equitable chance in life. The current Country Programme of cooperation is aligned with the Government priorities, the UN Sustainable Development Partnership (UNSDP), and Key Results for Children (KRCs)\u00a0in the West and Central African Region (immunization, nutrition, learning outcomes, ending child marriage, and ending open defecation). UNICEF main strategies include evidence-based advocacy, system strengthening, integrated programming across sectors, emergency preparedness and response, and innovation<\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Administrative Associate, (Travel & Protocol)<\/strong><\/p>\n

How can you make a difference?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Administrative Associate (Travel & Protocol) under the guidance of the Administrative Officer, NOB is responsible to execute a broad variety of standardized administrative tasks for the Country Office requiring a thorough knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies. The incumbent will support the Country Office in effectively and efficiently managing travel services (booking, ticketing, travel entitlements) and protocol services and will be the focal point communicating with Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Immigration, and Embassies with regards to registration and accreditation of UNICEF personnel and official visitors to Ghana as well as staff official travel out of Ghana. The incumbent is also the focal point for transit visas for medical evacuation travel of staff from other countries within the Region.<\/p>\n

Key tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Focal Point for liaison with Host Country Government institutions (MoFA, Immigration etc) for diplomatic accreditation of UNICEF personnel and visitors to Ghana.<\/strong><\/p>\n
