Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Director of ICT<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n The Director of ICT shall be responsible for the delivery of all ICT services and programmes to students and staff of the University. \n\u2022 Initiate, develop and advise on updates and implement ICT strategies;
\n\u2022 Ensure proper maintenance of internet connectivity at the University;
\n\u2022 Maintain and update the University\u2019s website;
\n\u2022 Advise on establishment of ICT standards and architectures;
\n\u2022 Plan and implement network security, including setting up firewalls, managing host security, applying security to network applications, and regulating file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, data security, etc.;
\n\u2022 Advise on formulation of acceptable user policies and guidelines to regulate ICT resources utilization;
\n\u2022 Prepare and maintains operational and configuration documentation, guidelines, manuals, user notes and system standards;
\n\u2022 Advise Management on technical designs and development of computer and telecommunications software, networks, and information systems; and
\n\u2022 Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Registrar or Vice-Chancellor, and other enactments<\/p>\n
