There is also growing middle classes who are likely to experiment with new products.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Brewing Shift Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">GGBPLC is undertaking significant change process, principally in the areas accountability, quality maintenance practices, supply planning, cost reduction and efficiency. In line with its objectives GGBPLC will develop its people and create an environment that attracts and retains the best people.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">As the Supply function we will produce quality products in a safe environment at competitive costs, on time and in full with no errors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">The role holder will need to develop, support and implement specific plans to achieve standards<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Role Purpose:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">The Shift Brewing Manager is in charge of the brewing core KPIs, with full responsibility for the efficient and effective performance of the brewing shift operations and the brewing shift team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">The Brewing Shift Manager is responsible for meeting the OEE, Extract loss, IPQI and Technical Flavour Score targets for the brewing operations in a cost effective manner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">The incumbent is also responsible for the entrenchment of Perfect Plant Management System (PPMS) and Perfect Plant Controls and Reporting Systems (PPCRS) in a safe and healthy working environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">As the front line manager, the shift brewing manager must be conversant with Human resource policies, particularly in the area of disciplinary and grievance procedures, in resolving people issues in the teams to create and maintain a highly motivated team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Overall Accountability for the delivery of daily \u00a0outputs, targets and goals by driving and reporting In-Process Quality Index (IPQI) for brewhouse, fermentation, Storage and BBT workstations to desired customer service, quality and yield levels in the most cost effective and efficient manner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">To own and drive improvement by leading any Improvement Task Force (ITF) in the department and ensuring delivery of departmental goals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">To drive resource allocation, develop team members and optimise individual potential to contribute to overall shift performance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Top 3-5 Accountabilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Commit to Occupational Health and Safety standards. Frequently state and articulate that\u00a0<b>Safety is our No.1 priority.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Be visible as an ambassador for safety by behaving in a safe manner at all times and always challenging unsafe practices and behaviour of others, reprimanding where appropriate. Adhere strictly to the site safety rules and systems and equipment operational procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Deliver AOP through proper production planning in consultation with the Brewing Manager Own and drive the Excellence in Supply Chain (EISC) agenda in Brewing and ensure 100% compliance to PPCRS tool such SICs, Walkabouts and leading Shift Based Team (SBT) and Daily\/Weekly Brewing Tier 2 Meetings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Report daily process parameters to improve process control for delivery of &gt;95% IPQI and 100% adherence to Codex standards, taking and driving actions to address variability in production process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Review departmental microbiological regimes including adherence to CIPs to deliver &gt;96% Micro score Own and drive specialized processes\/activities in brewing department such as yeast propagation and new product\u00a0<span class=\"WJV2\">development\/innovations<\/span>\u00a0or trials<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications and Experience Required<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">BSc Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science\/Technology, Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years in food and beverage industry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Computer Literate<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Resource management Skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">People management &amp; motivational skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><span class=\"WJV2\">Networking\/influencing<\/span>\u00a0\/communication skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Knowledge in Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GGBPLC operates from two sites in five drinks categories: Stout, Lager, RTD, Non-alcoholic Malt and Mainstream spirits, as well as the distribution of Spirits.
