You will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. You will also be on a constant lookout for violations. The ideal candidate will be a responsible individual who swears by OSH regulations. Your work will be largely focused on prevention so you need to be conscientious and farsighted. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies. The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Safety Officer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the development of OHS policies and programs<\/li>\n<li>Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures<\/li>\n<li>Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives<\/li>\n<li>Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)<\/li>\n<li>Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.<\/li>\n<li>Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy<\/li>\n<li>Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker\u2019s compensation claims and prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA\/EPA) and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices<\/li>\n<li>Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Diligent with great attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND\/DEGREE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicant should contact us via our email-\u00a0<strong>infojustmoh@gmail.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date<\/strong>: 5th April 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking for a responsible Safety Officer to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
