AFC is inviting applications from qualified persons for\u00a0<strong>positions for Senior Research Managers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Research Managers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior Researcher Managers are<\/strong>\u00a0responsible for oversight, and management of large scale research and consulting projects. The qualifications, skills and competencies include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters or PHD from a recognized University in social science preferably in education, sociology, economics, and\/or development studies with at least 5-7 years of research and consulting experience.<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent analysis, communication and writing skills; a demonstrated interest in development with a strong commitment to working on social\/economic and education development issues in Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Both qualitative and quantitative research, gender\/social inclusion and evaluation skills are needed; with strong MIS and ICT related research skills (e.g. SPSS, STATA, Nvivo, Atlas.ti etc).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage staff, evaluate programmes, conduct large scale research, facilitate training and lead teams of researchers.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated strong project management skills, organization development, proposal writing\/programme development, and editing skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All applicants for the above positions should provide application letter, detailed CV with 3 references and at least two writing samples.
