Ensure high availability of the database and its communication with the T24 banking software for user connections.<br \/>\n\u2022 Work with OS &amp; Network Management team to ensure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.<br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for providing trend analysis to help make decisions regarding resource management.<br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Support team and third partiesas appropriate through their helpdesk.<br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the database by installing patches\/upgrades.<br \/>\n\u2022 Support and maintain all the databases to ensure optimum performance.<br \/>\n\u2022 Responsible for performing restoration of backups. 10. Responsible for the recoverability of databases in case of emergency.<br \/>\n\u2022 Investigate and resolve critical helpdesk issues.<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist in carrying out home-keeping activities such as Close of Business.<br \/>\n\u2022 Support RCBs on Saturday Banking operations<br \/>\n\u2022 Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline<br \/>\n\u2022 Oracle Certified Associate(OCA)<br \/>\n\u2022 Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)<br \/>\n\u2022 Eight (8) years\u2019 experience in working as Database Administrator in a recognized institution<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge in other RDBMS like Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres and MySQL<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Experience with Linux\/Unixs and Window operating systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience with DBA case tools (frontend\/backend) and third party tools Experience in Setup, Configuration and Maintenance of Oracle RAC<br \/>\n\u2022 Fluency in SQL and PLSQL<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge in data backup, recovery, security and integrity<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent problem-solving, communication skills and strong analytical mind<br \/>\n\u2022 Must have a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data<br \/>\n\u2022 Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge in T24 Core Banking Software will be an added advantage<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Accra<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply For The Job<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications accompanied by detailed curriculum vitae, copies of certificates, names and addresses of three (3) referees, including their contact telephone nos.\/e-mail addresses, should be forwarded to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Head<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Finance &amp; Administration Dept.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>ARB Apex Bank Limited<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>P.
