{"id":5662,"date":"2011-09-28T06:56:19","date_gmt":"2011-09-28T06:56:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=5662"},"modified":"2016-11-17T09:57:46","modified_gmt":"2016-11-17T09:57:46","slug":"unicef-ghana-jobs-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/unicef-ghana-jobs-2011.html","title":{"rendered":"UNICEF Ghana Jobs 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Vacancy: Communication for Development (C4D) Officer (National Category)<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Non-Ghanaians will not be considered<br \/>\n<strong>VN No.:<\/strong>\u00a0VN-11-30\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Post level:<\/strong>\u00a0NO-B<br \/>\n<strong>Type of Contract:\u00a0<\/strong>Fixed Term<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Under the general guidance of the supervisor, and in close co-ordination\u00a0with the\u00a0Communication group, the Communication for Development Officer is accountable for technical support and assistance in the design, formulation, management, execution, monitoring and evaluation of a behavioural change and social mobilisation strategy, plan\u00a0of action and programme activities in support of the country programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities and Duties &amp; Tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical support and assistance in the development, management and facilitation of the implementation of\u00a0programme communication strategy, plan of action and activities for strategic\u00a0communication and promotion\u00a0for social and\u00a0behavioural change in support of country programme delivery<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support and assistance in the research, development, pre-testing, and production of culturally relevant communication materials<\/li>\n<li>Develop and enhance strong partnerships with community groups, leaders and other partners in the community and civil society for promotion of participation in social and behavioural changes supportive of programme goals<\/li>\n<li>Develop training materials and activities to build capacity for participatory and behaviour change communication<\/li>\n<li>Provide effective co-ordination and technical support\u00a0to government\u00a0counterparts and other partners\u00a0in the development and strategic use of communication for social development<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate programme activities and prepare\u00a0monitoring and evaluation reports.
