The role is also responsible for program management reporting and governance in line with MTN Project Management Methodology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Specialist-CAPEX\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure alignment and integration of the cross-functional areas required to facilitate project initiation, execution, close, financial and benefits tracking<\/li>\n<li>Review cost benefit analysis and business cases for defined projects for the portfolio and evaluate against financial projections, strategic alignment, risk and other industry-related factors.<\/li>\n<li>Manage annual CAPEX budget preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with all divisions with Capex portfolio to prepare their Capex budgets based on their plans for the following year<\/li>\n<li>Review budget inputs from various Capacity Planning Units (CPUs) and make necessary corrections (if any).<\/li>\n<li>Consolidate the inputs in the CAPEX Budget Templates and submit to Group Technology and Group Capex Management for review.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with relevant teams for commercial budget inputs<\/li>\n<li>Submit completed CAPEX budget templates to Finance &amp; Services for inclusion in the overall Business Plan.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with all CPUs for the consolidation of CAPEX Board Papers for the Board.<\/li>\n<li>Track and control project expenditure according to approved CAPEX Steering Committee (CSC) projects.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and reconcile CAPEX spend relative to approved spend request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Degree in Accounting or Finance<\/li>\n<li>Professional Finance or Accounting qualification is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 years relevant experience in CAPEX\/OPEX environment<\/li>\n<li>Telecom Industry experience is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Professional\/Technical competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adequate Knowledge of Program Portfolio Management<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Business Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Reporting &amp; Assurance<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Stakeholder Management<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Communication &amp; negotiation<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Budgeting and Cost Control<\/li>\n<li>Basic Knowledge of Supply Chain Management<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Contract Management<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Data gathering and consolidation<\/li>\n<li>Local accounting regulations and International Accounting Standards<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of Data tools and analytics<\/li>\n<li>Adequate Knowledge of Financial Management<\/li>\n<li>Adequate Knowledge of Risk Management<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Enterprise Reporting systems<\/li>\n<li>Basic Knowledge in GSM Network elements<\/li>\n<li>Basic Knowledge of Project Management tools and techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Skills\/ Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to manage conflict, accountability, self and team performance.<\/li>\n<li>Innovative, takes initiative, result oriented and develops self consistently<\/li>\n<li>Leadership skills, customer centric, collaborative and ability to coach &amp; develop direct reports<\/li>\n<li>Trustworthy, integrity and ethical in dealings<\/li>\n<li>Ability to focus on priorities and plans, manages and monitors work effectively<\/li>\n<li>Good written and verbal communication, presentation Skills,<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation and consulting skills<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Global thinker, Analytical thinking and Problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle issues with tact and diplomacy<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage own time and workload and juggle conflicting priorities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage own time and workload and juggle conflicting priorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manage CAPEX and Project activities and provide effective financial tracking of all CAPEX projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding.
