Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Director of Internal Audit<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 The Director of Internal Audit is responsible for the management of the Commission\u2019s auditing functions to ensure effective & efficient internal control systems. The Director of Internal Audit will report directly to the Director- General.<\/p>\n Duties \/ Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Prepare internal audit reports for the Commission. Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n Applicant must possess or be:<\/em><\/p>\n \u2022 A Chartered Accountant and a member of an appropriate professional body.
\n\u2022 He is to advise and report on the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes in the Commission.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Undertake audit investigation of the Commission.
\n\u2022 Examine and report on the Commission\u2019s fixed assets register from time to time.
\n\u2022 Provide inputs and proposal for the update of standards, procedures and guidelines for internal audit in the Commission.
\n\u2022 Monitor the implementation of recommendations made in internal audit reports of the Commission.
\n\u2022 Assist in the design and implementation of appropriate training programmes for staff in the internal audit unit of the Commission.
\n\u2022 Review the design and implementation of appropriate training programmes for staff in the internal audit unit of the commission.
\n\u2022 Review the administration of programmes and operations of the commission and recommend corrective actions<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Must possess post graduate degree in Auditing, Accounting or Finance.
\n\u2022 Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience at least ten (10) of which must have been in a very senior position in a reputable organisation.
\n\u2022 Must have knowledge and experience in Public Sector Accounting and Auditing.
\n\u2022 Must demonstrate knowledgeable in computer-based accounting\/auditing systems.
\n\u2022 A good team player.
\n\u2022 A good interpersonal and communication skills.
\n\u2022 Not more than fifty-five (55) years.<\/p>\n
