{"id":56729,"date":"2021-04-26T13:23:00","date_gmt":"2021-04-26T13:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=56729"},"modified":"2021-04-26T13:23:00","modified_gmt":"2021-04-26T13:23:00","slug":"creative-associates-international-recruiting-now-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/creative-associates-international-recruiting-now-2021.html","title":{"rendered":"Creative Associates International Recruiting Now 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In close coordination with the US Embassy and USAID, the goal of the USAID\/OTI-funded Littorals Regional Initiative (LRI) is to support US foreign policy priorities to shore up stability and prevent violent extremism in the Littoral region, including Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Officer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Initial objectives include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Rapidly delivering effective and relevant programming on the ground through targeted interventions that may be scaled up.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Informing and improving USG programming by piloting approaches and sharing reporting.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Providing rapid response capacity, from hiring STTAs to quick response activities, in the event of a crisis or opportunity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Position Summary:<\/p>\n<p>The Finance Officer will be responsible for (a) ensuring that payments requirements are met based on USAID policies and procedures; (b) implement financial procedures in compliance with Creative and USAID policies and procedures; (c) Preparation of payroll and staff reimbursements (d) Timely disbursement for small grants related payments to field offices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location note:<\/strong>\u00a0This position will be based in northern Ghana, with the exact location TBD.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting &amp; Supervision:<\/p>\n<p>This position reports to the Finance Manager.<\/p>\n<p class=\"iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job\">Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in preparation of budgets, monitor, review, and revise as required.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the Grants Department to reconcile finance record of grants.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and follow through on information gathering and documents needed with the Government of Ghana, Headquarters, and relevant ministries on renewal of MOU, tax exemption, banking, leases, and other contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor compliance of grantees through field visits and financial report review provide training and orientation to new field staff. Bring potential non-compliance issues to the attention of the Finance Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee cash flow, adherence to Ghanaian tax and labor laws.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare financial reports for Headquarters prior to submission to Finance Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Implement procedures and forms for request and issue of funds for program needs.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Finance Manager in forecasting and request cash transfers from HQ to ensure adequate supply of funds in country.<\/li>\n<li>Pay authorized bills to contractors, suppliers, and monthly payroll for employees.<\/li>\n<li>Check petty cash vouchers, receipts, and replenish to established levels upon receipt of replenishment requests.<\/li>\n<li>Produce segregated finance records at the request of the Finance Manager such as expenses for specific locations or grants.<\/li>\n<li>Cooperate and assist in audit requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Finance Manager to produce Monthly Finance Reports according to HO procedures and submit by the mandated deadline.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain grant financial records.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee project procurement in accordance with contract and Creative requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in compiling and reviewing timesheets of the staff so that payroll is processed in a timely and accurate fashion.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with financial tracking of local sub-contractors and fixed price contracts as needed<\/li>\n<li>Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job\">Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma required, Bachelor\u2019s degree in relevant field (finance, accounting, business, etc.) highly desired.<\/li>\n<li>Must have 4 years of general work experience, and 2+ years of specific experience related to the position required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with USAID program finances and budgeting (preferred) or similar work for other donors\/U.S. Government agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English highly desired, medium level required.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in any of the languages spoken in northern Ghana desired.<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to work and be based in Northern Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Must have existing work authorization for Ghana.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In close coordination with the US Embassy and USAID, the goal of the USAID\/OTI-funded Littorals Regional Initiative (LRI) is to support US foreign policy priorities to shore up stability and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6721,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[14],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"jetpack_shortlink":"https:\/\/wp.me\/p2nO32-eKZ","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/56729"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6721"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=56729"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/56729\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=56729"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=56729"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=56729"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
