{"id":56945,"date":"2021-05-03T10:36:17","date_gmt":"2021-05-03T10:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=56945"},"modified":"2021-05-03T10:36:17","modified_gmt":"2021-05-03T10:36:17","slug":"dangote-vacancies-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/dangote-vacancies-2021.html","title":{"rendered":"Dangote Vacancies 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Safety Officer \u2013 Inspection (Cement Industry)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that the DCP OH&amp;S policy is understood and implemented at shop floor level.<\/li>\n<li>Support plant operations with the implementation of H&amp;S initiatives, H&amp;S management system, and H&amp;S programs<\/li>\n<li>Conduct safety training and awareness programs in line with the DCP annual HSE goals and targets.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain all documents and records as per Ghanaian Laws relating to H&amp;S with regard to plant operations.<\/li>\n<li>Inspection of plant and equipment is carried out for maintaining safe work place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct identification, assessment and analysis of the hazardous activities within the operations<\/li>\n<li>Conduct various H&amp;S trainings and awareness programs including induction training of all<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular inspections of plant and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular tool box talk with shop floor<\/li>\n<li>Inspect on going work to ensure compliance of Permit to Work system<\/li>\n<li>Assist plant managers in conducting Job Safety Analysis as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Conduct surveys to check quality and adequacy of these, but are not limited to the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Lifting equipment<\/li>\n<li>Pressure vessels<\/li>\n<li>Portable electrical equipment<\/li>\n<li>PPEs<\/li>\n<li>Scaffoldings<\/li>\n<li>Elevated work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Implement annual H&amp;S improvement plan and monitor its implementation<\/li>\n<li>maintain relevant documents\/records for safety and ensure they are properly maintained at the plant<\/li>\n<li>Attend all shutdowns and major breakdowns from H&amp;S point of view<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all relevant H&amp;S legal requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a Degree in Environmental Sciences\/Mechanical Engineering and Professional Certification in EHS by a National or Internationally recognized organization.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three (3) years working experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE &amp; COMPETENCIES<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Very good knowledge\/experience on Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments and control<\/li>\n<li>Very good knowledge on Fire Safety Management<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of PTW system and RCA<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Ghanaian Laws related to H&amp;S<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate Microsoft Office programs<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of H&amp;S audits and inspection<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of typical plant operations\/dynamics<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Cement industry or other heavy industry<\/li>\n<li>Initiative &amp; drive<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical and problem solving ability<\/li>\n<li>Execution<\/li>\n<li>Team Player<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private health insurance<\/li>\n<li>Provident Fund<\/li>\n<li>Paid time off<\/li>\n<li>Training &amp; Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description Job Title: Safety Officer \u2013 Inspection (Cement Industry)\u00a0 JOB SUMMARY Ensure that the DCP OH&amp;S policy is understood and implemented at shop floor level.
