The Diagnostic Sonographer will be responsible for providing high quality core MSIG lab services in the assigned centre of excellence.
\n\u2022 The job holder will be based in Accra, Kokomlemle Centre and will report to the Centre Manager.<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer<\/strong><\/p>\n Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Able to operate the ultrasound equipment with proficiency to perform basic ultrasound (2D and doppler) of obstetric and gynaecological, abdominal ultrasound and other indications (e.g. breast, prostate US, etc) Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Must have a recognised clinical qualification in Diagnostic Sonography Skill and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 At least 3 years post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position
\n\u2022 Prepare patients for exams by informing them and obtaining informed consent
\n\u2022 Ensure the comfort, safety and privacy of the patients report, noticing differences between pathological and healthy areas
\n\u2022 Responsible for an adequate stock management, record keeping of consumables (e.g US gel) and manage records of all ultrasound activities
\n\u2022 Ensure adequate maintenance of the Ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and\/or order repairs as necessary
\n\u2022 Able to interact with government agencies, professional groups, and MSI staff to ensure the centre is in compliance with National and MSI standards
\n\u2022 Promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient atmosphere towards all clients in the centre to ensure client satisfaction at all times
\n\u2022 Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented
\n\u2022 Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & trainings
\n\u2022 Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the regional manager<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Must be registered with a recognised local clinical professional body in Ghana and be of good standing
\n\u2022 Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Experience of working in Sexual and Reproductive health
\n\u2022 Be well versed in Ghana Health Service Clinical policies, protocols, and standards
\n\u2022 Must be computer literate
\n\u2022 Excellent provider-client interaction skills
\n\u2022 Work experience with Ghana Health Service and\/or an INGO
\n\u2022 Articulate and analytical with attention to detail
\n\u2022 Knowledge of health delivery system in Ghana
\n\u2022 Must be multi-skilled and able to work with minimum supervision
\n\u2022 Sympathetic to women and men seeking family planning and reproductive health services
\n\u2022 Be able to work on own initiative and at longer periods
\n\u2022 Customer focused with good interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels government, donor and community
\n\u2022 Passionate about maternal health and the vulnerable<\/p>\n
