You will be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems.<\/p>\n<p>In your role as technical support you\u2019ll cover one or more areas of expertise, depending on the need.<\/p>\n<p>The Company increasingly rely on computer systems in all areas of their operations. It\u2019s therefore crucial to ensure the correct running and maintenance of IT systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IT Support Technician<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring that users get maximum benefits from them, you\u2019ll need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications<\/li>\n<li>monitor and maintain computer systems and networks<\/li>\n<li>talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues<\/li>\n<li>troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults<\/li>\n<li>replace parts as required<\/li>\n<li>provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports<\/li>\n<li>follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system<\/li>\n<li>support the roll-out of new applications<\/li>\n<li>set up new users\u2019 accounts and profiles and deal with password issues<\/li>\n<li>respond within agreed time limits to call-outs<\/li>\n<li>work continuously on a task until completion<\/li>\n<li>priorities and manage many open cases at one time<\/li>\n<li>rapidly establish a good working relationship with staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements and Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience in a technical support role.<\/li>\n<li>Certifications are preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge and expertise in Windows, Printers, IP Phones, Networking Devices, asset management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to show evidence of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the ability to think logically<\/li>\n<li>a good memory of how software and operating systems work<\/li>\n<li>excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution<\/li>\n<li>the ability to work well in a team<\/li>\n<li>problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>a strong customer focus<\/li>\n<li>the ability to priorities your workload<\/li>\n<li>attention to detail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work experience<\/p>\n<p>A minimum of 3 years in IT Field required<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IT Support Technician required to monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the company.
