The\u00a0\u00a0project accountants would work closely with the Ghana Health Service staff but have a reporting responsibility to the Grants Manager of the Agency based in Accra.The ideal candidates will be based in both Tamale and Accra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0Financial Recording<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for collating the expenses of all NTD offices for analysis and submission to the Agency in a timely fashion<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the proper codification of all transactions relating to the NTD Project<\/li>\n<li>Filing of all receipts and disbursement vouchers<span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Analysis<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for generation of unpaid cash balances on employee travel advance accounts for collection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Review cash request from NTD\/GHS and submits to the company for payment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze balance of NTD Project advances and ensure their timely liquidation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains and enhance internal control procedures at the operational level<span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0Others<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of voucher and stationery stocks for finance unit.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties that may be assigned by supervisor or finance Manager<\/li>\n<li>Establish checks and balances on the financial transactions<span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications&amp; Requirement:<\/strong><span><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors\u2019 degree in Accounting or HND in Accounting or Part II of ACCA, ICA, CIMA or other equivalent professional qualification with two years\u2019 post qualification experience in a similar position<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in NGO accounting or Donor funding environment would be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Must be ready to travel about 40% of his\/her time to collate financial information from NTD offices across the country<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in USG regulations is required<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of standard software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in accounting software would be added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors\u2019 degree in Accounting or HND in Accounting or Part II of ACCA, ICA, CIMA or other equivalent professional qualification with two years\u2019 post qualification experience in a similar position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply visit www.axishcl.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 12th November, 2011<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0An International NGO is seeking to recruit\u00a0\u00a0Project Accountants who will ensure proper financial documentation, accurate records keeping at all times of all NTD finances.
