Ensure flexibility of supplies, appropriate quality, and complexity reduction at the best total cost.<\/p>\n<p><b>Reports to:\u00a0<\/b>Procurement Business Manager<\/p>\n<p><b>Reporting Level:\u00a0<\/b>Management<\/p>\n<p><b>Geographic Scope:\u00a0<\/b>West Central African Markets<\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Responsible for the development and execution of sourcing plans for the Commercial business units in BAT WCM.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To ensure the category sourcing and contracts meet the business requirements through the execution of the strategic sourcing process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To adhere to applicable policies, standards and platforms including the agreed Sourcing Management methodology and approach and to deliver robust terms and conditions that manages BAT\u2019s service delivery and commercial risk.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To lead the process of sourcing execution to ensure delivery of the partner requirements and targets.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Identifying and managing the risk which exists whenever goods and services are contracted out to suppliers and service providers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ensure full cross-functional dedication to strategies through communication, education, and evaluation of initiatives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To drive and facilitate \u201csource to contract\u201d for categories under the Commercial business units in BAT WCM. This includes the resolution of any contracts related issues and includes one-off spend items.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Continuous supply improvements delivered to BAT WCM, measured in terms significant cost reduction, supplier rationalisation, high levels of service, introduction of business process changes and complexity reduction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Analyse financial and market data, to build and maintain knowledge on all aspects of our supply related external environment, on behalf of the business.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To ensure contracts are completed for all relevant agreements and that SLA\u2019s (Service Level Agreements) have been agreed with the relevant business owner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To manage negotiation and supplier selection within the framework of Marketing category strategies or sourcing strategies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Provide forecasts on prices and market changes as an input into planning where appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To facilitate the creation of supplier SLA\u2019s and performance checkpoints. Manage and resolve contractual performance issues and escalate where required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To identify new products and services that may impact on sourcing execution and escalate to the Procurement Business Manager \u2013 Commercial.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Fully proficiency in English and French<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">University degree level education or equivalent<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">CIPS Corporate Diploma in Purchasing and\/or membership of The Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply or equivalent country qualification or membership would be an advantage<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Experience of sourcing at a local level for a period of ideally 3-5 years<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Thorough knowledge of supply market, supplier capabilities, competitor activity, and expected trends at a local level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Strong interpersonal and communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Proven negotiation skills and influencing skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-GB\">WE ARE BAT<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">At BAT we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
