Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Mechanical Technician<\/strong><\/p>\n Role Purpose;<\/b><\/p>\n Manage the mechanical systems within his area of operation, and other areas as may be specified, to ensure safe, reliable and optimum performance of plant and equipment.<\/p>\n Responsible for the execution of Preventive Maintenance and raising notification at the site.<\/p>\n The role holder will need to develop, support and implement specific plans to achieve standards<\/p>\n Execute mechanical aspects of preventive, breakdown maintenance, overhaul and modification of plant and equipment within approved operational budget to ensure continuous availability of Plant and Equipment, in the Packaging Hall.<\/p>\n Top 3-5 Accountabilities:<\/b><\/p>\n Commit to Occupational Health and Safety standards. Adhere strictly to the site safety rules and systems and equipment operational procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Shall be committed to producing safe and quality products by following all instructions related to the Food Safety and Quality Management System<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Provide a comprehensive production service on plant and equipment to which they are primarily allocated: operating and cleaning, carrying out maintenance schedules, responding to breakdowns, assessing & monitoring plant performance on an ongoing basis and attending to all other process duties in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Deliver best possible plant operation by maximizing plant availability and efficiency of operation through execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Optimize product quality, through continuous observation and attention to detail, delivering RFT on quality and control parameters. Respond to non-conformances in a timely manner to keep process on track. Apply, record & share learning\u2019s to prevent re-occurrence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Manage materials, components and spares required by their plant and equipment \u2013 includes draw down stock from locally provided \u201cbins\u201d and be accountable for whatever stock is drawn down.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Qualifications and Experience Required;<\/b><\/p>\n HND in appropriate Engineering discipline with 3 years\u2019\u00a0experience\/competence<\/span>\u00a0in Operations, Maintenance, Process Control and Performance Measurement in a brewery or drinks or food manufacturing environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Demonstrate detailed understanding of Permit to Work system and GGBL SHE policies, statutory requirements and responsibilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Demonstrate understanding of teamwork principles, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance and problem solving.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" GGBL operates from two sites in four drinks categories: Stout, Lager, RTD and Malt as well as the distribution of Spirits.
