Dredging services cover urban dredging and environmental dredging, dredging of dams, rivers and lagoons, maintenance dredging of ports and harbors.<\/p>\n<p>Marine construction activities involve beach nourishments, coastal defense and other coastal protection measures.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also active in urban drainage and drain construction.<\/p>\n<p>Dredge Masters Limited (DML) is an ISO certified company with certification in Quality ISO 9001:2015, Occupational Health and Safety ISO 45001:2018 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 standards.<\/p>\n<p>DML is known for quality and high operational excellence and adheres to sustainable development goals (SDG\u2019s)<\/p>\n<p>DML is seeking to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB TITLE:<\/strong> <strong>Project Environmental Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Location: Accra<\/p>\n<p>Posted on: July 19, 2021<\/p>\n<p>Closing Date: August 6, 2021<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To oversee the\u00a0environmental\u00a0performance on the projects and implementing and monitoring\u00a0environmental\u00a0strategies that promote sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REPORT TO:<\/strong>\u00a0Managing Director<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for making sure operational projects are compliant with\u00a0all environmental regulations in areas such as air quality, waste, clean water, and pollution.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor trends of environmental parameters and implement programs and procedures to facilitate a safer working environment.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of sustainability awareness strategy flexible enough to appeal to all activity lines.<\/li>\n<li>Access, analyze and collate environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies when required.<\/li>\n<li>Manage environmental strategy budgets<\/li>\n<li>Provide environmental trainings to staff at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislations and initiatives as per ISO 14001 and EPA laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or IEMA Certificate is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 10 years of experience as an Environmental Manager in preferably urban dredging, inland dredging, marine construction, Dams and Environmental Engineering\/Management.<\/li>\n<li>Have proven work experience both dredging projects and corporate managerial level as a sustainability specialist.<\/li>\n<li>Have strong background in Integrated management systems (set-up and implementation).<\/li>\n<li>Have thorough knowledge of relevant Environment standards (such as ISO 14001)<\/li>\n<li>Must be a member of a recognized professional body (IEMA, GHISEP)<\/li>\n<li>Must have worked in similar projects (Construction or dredging works in developing countries) as an Environmental and Sustainability Specialist.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in project based management (non-hierarchical guiding and mentoring)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, skills and abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to implement environmental policies and Practices<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate passion for environment and sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Must devise the best tools and systems to monitor project environmental performance and to implement strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills on top of strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in environmental reporting and data analytics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants may submit application and curriculum vitae to the under listed email address on or before 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>To:<strong>\u00a0career@dmlghana.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DML is a market leader in dredging and has a sizable presence in Marine and Civil Construction.
