One with good ethics and technical skills and is goal oriented to help the organization achieve its safety goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REPORT TO:<\/strong>\u00a0Managing Director<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, manage and implement the HSE strategies for dredging projects<\/li>\n<li>Implements, maintains and responsible for continual improvement of DML IMS (Integrated Management System).<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring the effective achievement of Project Health &amp; Safety Objectives and subsequent KPI\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Manage Health &amp; Safety compliance (legal and client\u2019s requirement) and implement industry best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the auditing of Health &amp; Safety processes and operational projects<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the proactive HSE support during tender processes.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the implementation of behavior based safety culture on the project<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the management of HSE process for subcontractors, suppliers and service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Coach and develop project management team on HSE related matters and confirm project site fulfills industry best practices, national guidelines and regulations and implement risk controls on the project.<\/li>\n<li>Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved ISO manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and best engineering practices.<\/li>\n<li>Provides technical support to project managers.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal and written reporting skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in Health &amp; Safety, Engineering or related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>NEBOSH International Diploma in Safety is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 10 years of experience as a Health and Safety Manager in preferably urban dredging, inland dredging, marine construction and Dams.<\/li>\n<li>Have proven work experience both dredging projects and corporate managerial level.<\/li>\n<li>Have strong background in Integrated management systems (set-up and implementation).<\/li>\n<li>Have thorough knowledge of relevant Health &amp; Safety standards (such as ISO 45001)<\/li>\n<li>Must be a member of a recognized professional body such (IOSH, GHISEP, IIRSM)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, skills and abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Risk assessment\/management<\/li>\n<li>Administrative policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>EPC industry experience<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of project controls<\/li>\n<li>Conceptual planning ability<\/li>\n<li>Conflict management and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Leadership ability<\/li>\n<li>Multi-tasking ability<\/li>\n<li>Communication, meeting, and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Goal-driven leader with strong people management and coaching\/mentoring skills.<\/li>\n<li>Comfort with time reporting systems and technical reporting skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants may submit application and curriculum vitae to the under listed email address on or before 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>To:<strong>\u00a0career@dmlghana.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DML is a market leader in dredging and has a sizable presence in Marine and Civil Construction.
