Making Advances to Eliminate Child Labor in More Areas with Sustainable Integrated Efforts\u00a0<\/strong>(MATE MASIE)<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Private Sector Engagement Specialist \u2013 MATE MASIE Project, Child Labor Ghana\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Terms of Reference<\/strong><\/p>\n Consultant Position:<\/strong>\u00a0Private Sector Engagement Specialist<\/p>\n Reports to: <\/strong>MATE MASIE Project Director<\/p>\n Location: <\/strong>Kumasi, with travel elsewhere within Ghana<\/p>\n Duration: <\/strong>Up to 41 days of LOE within a period of 3 months (between October and December 2021).<\/p>\n Background:\u00a0<\/strong>Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources. Winrock is implementing the four-year, Making Advances to Eliminate Child Labor in More Areas with Sustainable Integrated Efforts (MATE MASIE) project. The project is funded by the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) and will strengthen capacity, connections, and accountability across child labor enforcement and monitoring within cocoa cooperatives in Ghana and will build the capacity of cooperatives to support vulnerable member households directly and by linking their members with other service providers.<\/p>\n Summary of Assignment:\u00a0<\/strong>The MATE MASIE project focuses on strengthening the capacity of cocoa cooperatives to monitor child labor and to provide social protection, child labor remediation, and other services to their member households. As part of this, the project will identify and build partnerships with private sector companies (i.e. buyers, manufacturers, input suppliers, processors, and international and domestic traders) and support linkages between cooperatives and private sector partners in order to strengthen access to child labor remediation services by vulnerable households.<\/p>\n Winrock is seeking to engage an individual or firm\/organization to:<\/p>\n Detailed Description of Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n Deliverables:<\/strong><\/p>\n Deliverable<\/strong>Estimated LOE (days)<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.Detailed Gantt chart workplan and approach\/methodology for conducting private sector engagement analysis exercise.<\/strong> The workplan and approach\/methodology will be developed in close collaboration with the MATE MASIE team’<\/p>\n 2.List of stakeholders to be interviewed (including contact information) as part of private sector engagement analysis exercise, qualitative data collection tools, and outline for private sector engagement plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n 2b.Private sector analysis exercise: fieldwork for data collection<\/strong>1<\/p>\n 3.Develop private sector engagement plan (20-30 pages)<\/strong>54Conduct ToT for the project team on the content, usage, and application of the private sector engagement plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n 4.Final report (10-20 pages) and PowerPoint presentation summarizing work completed during assignment and next steps for implementing the private sector engagement plan.<\/strong> Applicants should submit the following documents, referencing\u00a0MATE MASIE Private Sector Engagement Specialist<\/strong>.
