The main objective of the Board is to provide a diagnosis of what a school must do to improve.<\/p>\n<p>In order to carry out its functions, the Board intends to constitute inspection panels that will undertake supervision and inspection visits to the schools focusing on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The quality of leadership and management in the schools<\/li>\n<li>The quality of teaching and learning<\/li>\n<li>The standard of academic achievement<\/li>\n<li>The academic, physical, and recreation facilities available<\/li>\n<li>The system of internal and external examinations<\/li>\n<li>The values emphasized and taught, and<\/li>\n<li>The parental and community involvement in the schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>The Board is now recruiting\u00a0Lead\u00a0Inspector for the inspection panels.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the inspection panels on inspection field work<\/li>\n<li>Write school inspection reports from field data<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the work of inspection panel members<\/li>\n<li>Provide evidence based assessment of assessment of school of improvement needs<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up on implementation of recommendations for school improvement<\/li>\n<li>Collate and analyse field reports for the attention of the Chief Inspectorate of Schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary and Conditions of Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The remuneration package attached to the position is attractive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a Master&#8217;s Degree from an accredited Tertiary Institution in an educational related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable institution, 4 years of which should be in a senior management position<\/li>\n<li>Teaching experience will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong research and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the Education system in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Awareness and\/or interest in gender issues and concepts<\/li>\n<li>Good computer skills (SPSS, NVIVO and statistical
