The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor \u2013 Process Plant<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Mechanical Supervisor \u2013 Process Plant is accountable for the monitoring and control of output of Processing Plant structural, mechanical, plate work and pipe works refurbishment to standard, through the application of operational policies, standards, processes and procedures to maximise plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business\u2019 strategic objective.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work according to total quality management principles &amp; ensure zero defect objectives &amp; safety<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to site\u2019s Environmental Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Gather information for the Mechanical Superintendent \u2013 Processing Plant for reporting performance<\/li>\n<li>Ensure maximum efficiency of equipment and high plant availability in a safe and sustainable manner by efficiently and effectively maintaining and improving all fixed plant mechanical installations.<\/li>\n<li>Support the mechanical refurbishment and maintenance of Processing Plant in the project and transition into operations.<\/li>\n<li>Lead a group of mechanical tradespeople consisting of mechanical fitters, fabricators and boilermakers. Coordinating the day to day issuing of work orders and assisting with any breakdown work daily for the processing plant during the Phase1 &amp; 2 Operations.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Mechanical Superintendent \u2013 Processing Plant to develop condition monitoring routes and checks for processing equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Generate work requests in SAP as required for refurbishment\/maintenance planning and scheduling.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure routine condition monitoring tasks are performed on all the rotating equipment by data collection using advanced portable data collectors and other tools according to the established schedules and as per the plant requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in maintenance review programmes and Root Cause Failure Analysis process of mechanical equipment as per requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct reviews of the refurbishment fabrication, later maintenance, of the Processing Plant to identify actions for continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor general physical condition of plant assets and report<\/li>\n<li>Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Gather information on vibration &amp; other data collected in order to diagnose \/ troubleshoot rotating machinery problems.<\/li>\n<li>Identify, communicate, and implement potential cost reduction initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Propose cost savings projects.<\/li>\n<li>Execute work in a timely manner; coordinate refurbishment fabrication work contractors to time plan, escalate real or potential delays.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor equipment performance on asset health system and take proactive measures to address symptoms of potential failure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma\/Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical or Maintenance Management, or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Financial, commercial and project management through work experience and courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An experienced mechanical maintenance Supervisor with 5+ years\u2019 experience in, preferably, Metallurgical processing plant maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Maintenance\/Operating of Processing Plants.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in management of Maintenance and Repair Contracts (MARC).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of SAP PM Module.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Legal Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess Sectional Engineer\u2019s Certificate of Competency from Mineral Commission of Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Professional Certificated Supervisor with a relevant certification body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong mechanical maintenance competencies in mining and\/or extractive metallurgy environment<\/li>\n<li>Sound project management skills<\/li>\n<li>Should have analytical skills to be able to evaluate information and solve complex problems.<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented to understand complex systems, and recognition that a minor error can cause major problems.<\/li>\n<li>Commercially astute and able to work effectively with third parties.<\/li>\n<li>Legally astute with respect to project delivery and maintenance systems<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to communicate about technical issues both orally and in writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Leadership Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and sustain a team of subordinates capable of producing those outputs;<\/li>\n<li>Continuously improve the processes used by the team in delivering outputs;<\/li>\n<li>Model work behaviors for your subordinates,<\/li>\n<li>Consistent with the company values<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to initiate and drive the construction project through its life cycle.<\/li>\n<li>To support and motivate the construction project team to deliver the project goals.<\/li>\n<li>Finding innovative solutions through creative thinking and problem solving.<\/li>\n<li>Create an environment of teamwork and willingness to help coworkers<\/li>\n<li>Able to work different kinds of people<\/li>\n<li>Organizational skills to keep track of many workers, schedules, and budgets all at once.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently near completion of the redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
