production of all GAAS publications, policy papers, and related documents, and in the development and maintenance of a digital\/e-book publishing page\/platform,<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Assistant Publications Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Responsibilities and Tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain the house formatting and design style guide<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the organization of manuscripts<\/li>\n<li>Create design concepts and layouts<\/li>\n<li>Design and produce a wide range of promotional items, such as leaflets, annual reports, brochures, postcards, banner stands, and adverts<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of new publications working with the Publications Officer<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage the Academy\u2019s digital-books platform<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the Communications and Accounting teams to maximize a blended approach between print and digital publications<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all materials available online for the public are awfully accessible and inappropriate formals<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the mailing of publications where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Establish cordial relationships with personnel in all departments<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duty assigned by the Executive Secretary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least HND from a recognized Public Institution or First Degree in Graphic Design, Publishing, Creative Arts or related fields<\/li>\n<li>Must have at least two years of relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of design principles, tools, and techniques<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination<\/li>\n<li>Artistic ability and Creativity are essential<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office Suite software skills<\/li>\n<li>Should possess the necessary knowledge and skits for the use of graphic design software<br \/>\nprograms, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW, etc.<\/li>\n<li>A general interest in computers and an aptitude for learning new technology will be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively present ideas \u2013 both verbally and visually<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal
