{"id":6070,"date":"2011-10-31T00:12:28","date_gmt":"2011-10-31T00:12:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=6070"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:11:40","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:11:40","slug":"mining-job-vacancies-in-ghana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/mining-job-vacancies-in-ghana.html","title":{"rendered":"Mining Job Vacancies in Ghana"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Procurement Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Procurement Officer, reporting to the Supply Superintendent, will be responsible for Procurement of the mine&#8217;s material and services from all sources of the Supply Section of the Commercial Department at the Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited, located near Ayanfuri.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review purchase requisitions within all authorities;<\/li>\n<li>Order goods and services at the most effective prices;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review purchase orders within authorities;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with shipping\/transport agents, Logistic Officer and Suppliers;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining back order report;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain sound ethical standards and safe working practices; and<\/li>\n<li>Place stock order within specified time limits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidate&#8217;s qualifications and experience.<br \/>\n<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful applicant must possess Diploma in Purchasing and Contract Management or its equivalent with 3 years work experience as Purchasing Officer in a Mining\/Manufacturing Industry.
