Geographically diversified with a balanced exposure to developed and developing markets, we leverage the collective strengths of approximately 200,000 employees based in more than 50 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"title\"><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Packaging Engineer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To take the Strategic lead for the maintenance function in Packaging and to lead related Strategic Initiatives ensuring corporate governance for equipment and system integrity through the application of and adherence to relevant standards and legislation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage departmental budget \/ finances<\/li>\n<li>Lead applicable engineering projects by increasing efficient project planning and execution thereof.<\/li>\n<li>Provides input into new equipment \/ upgrade projects<\/li>\n<li>Ensure conformance to specifications and standards<\/li>\n<li>Lead the risk management program, encompassing occupational health and safety and risk management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure legal compliance in engineering and adherence to legal standards\/regulations<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate team problem solving and decision making<\/li>\n<li>Lead the engineering team in a manner that engenders ownership,\u00a0empowerment\u00a0and team interaction<\/li>\n<li>Lead the development of engineering team goals and ensure these are communicated and understood by team members<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular engineering team goal review sessions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure training\u202fneed\u202fanalyses are conducted and training plans developed for team members<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate competencies are developed in the team, and ensure cross-skilling occurs within the engineering team<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate conformance to VPO people,\u00a0management\u00a0and maintenance pillars<\/li>\n<li>Ensure safety, healthy &amp; environmental legislation compliance<\/li>\n<li>Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in workshops, artisan\u202fwork stations\u202f, and\u00a0 a place or work<\/li>\n<li>Develop employees<\/li>\n<li>\u202fEnsure a healthy industrial relations climate<\/li>\n<li>Manage and apply personnel practices<\/li>\n<li>Maintain system integrity and change control<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and calibrate packaging mechanical plant and equipment including instrumentation integrity<\/li>\n<li>Ensure application documented standards<\/li>\n<li>Develop and update engineering standards through the Zone<\/li>\n<li>Ensures a high quality of workmanship is attained from the maintenance team<\/li>\n<li>Plans in place to implement the various maintenance pillar blocks<\/li>\n<li>Sustain what has been implemented<\/li>\n<li>Optimise use of planned maintenance system<\/li>\n<li>Apply formal failure analysis process<\/li>\n<li>Apply relevant engineering spares strategy<\/li>\n<li>Manage small site projects<\/li>\n<li>Manage budgeting process<\/li>\n<li>\u202fControl departmental costs<\/li>\n<li>\u202fReview financial results<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"title\">Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc\u202fEngineering (Mechanical\/Electrical)<\/li>\n<li>3-6 months on the job training\u202f-desirable but not essential<\/li>\n<li>Additional business qualification<\/li>\n<li>2-3 Years in similar FMCG industry as sectional engineer<\/li>\n<li>A motivated individual with high levels of resilience and the ability to operate in a\u202fhigh pressure\u202fenvironment Commercial Acumen with strong planning &amp; financial management skills<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed analytical skills with excellent\u202fproblem solving\u202fcapability<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and commitment to quality is non-negotiable.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership and management capability.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent planning and organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>An Innovative thinker, persuasive, assertive and a good negotiator<\/li>\n<li>Ability to set high standards and bring team along to achieve the standard expectation.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to implement the people business processes to lead,\u00a0motivate\u00a0and develop employees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"title\">Additional Information<\/p>\n<p>AB InBev is an equal opportunity employer and all appointments will be made in-line with AB InBev employment equity plan and talent requirements.
