CHF is a politically neutral, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, that prides itself on an approach which is accountable, efficient and effective.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Reports To:<\/strong>\u00a0Finance &amp; Administrative Director<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Examine invoices for accuracy, completeness, allocability and allowability.<\/li>\n<li>Apply and comply with CHF\u2019s Field Financial Manual.<\/li>\n<li>Process invoices for payment using QuickBooks\/Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Review QuickBooks entries for accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Cash Advances are retired on a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely payment of statutory deductions.<\/li>\n<li>Review of Sub-grantees Financial Statements, and follow up of queries.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Sub-grantees, Contractors and Consultants Register.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Sound Filing system for Financial Records.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in Preparation &amp; Management of Budgets \u2013 CHF &amp; Partners.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with financial capacity building of colleagues and partners.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the work of the regional accountant.<\/li>\n<li>Assists with Preparation\u00a0 of periodic Financial Reports, and forwarding same by\u00a0e-mail to International HQ as the case may be \u2013 eg. QuickBooks reports, Sub-Grantees reports, Burn reports, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide in a timely manner the information for the weekly reports for the Program Directors.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Programs Teams in program implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Assure that weekly \u201cback up\u201d are performed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The duties listed above are not inclusive of all duties at CHF International.\u00a0 CHF reserves the right to change and update the position descriptions at any time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>At least five continuous years experience working with an International NGO on a USAID funded project.<\/li>\n<li>University degree in Accountancy and\/ or Professional Accounting qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations is required.<\/li>\n<li>Hands on experience with Quickbooks accounting software.<\/li>\n<li>High degree of computer literacy; MS Excel and MS Word are essential.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills and ability to determine priorities and respect deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Application should be forwarded to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<a href=\"mailto:contact@ghana.chfinternational.org\"><strong>contact@ghana.chfinternational.org<\/strong><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Closing date:\u00a011 Nov, 2011<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHF International is an international development organization founded in 1952 that works in post-conflict, unstable and developing countries.
