\n\u2022 Collate and analyse information and data for the development of technical specifications for the requisiting and the deployment of equipment software resources and other IT systems for the Section\/Unit
\n\u2022 Conduct IT application systems testing and make recommendations for further action
\n\u2022 Conduct process analayses of systems and applications and provide inputs\/recommendations to support IT application design, development and deployment for the section\/unit
\n\u2022 Provide information for design and development of procedures, standards and guidelines to support the implementation of IT systems for the section\/unit
\n\u2022 Collect and analyse data in the investigations of complaints on the IT systems for appropriate action
\n\u2022 Collect and analayse data on the testing of application systems deployed in the section\/unit
\n\u2022 Provide inputs for the preparation of periodic reports for the section\/unit<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Define network policies and procedures
\n\u2022 Specify system requirements and design solutions
\n\u2022 Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
\n\u2022 Ensure network security and connectivity
\n\u2022 Monitor network performance (availability, utilisationm throughput, goodput and latency)
\n\u2022 Monitor and test network for weaknesses
\n\u2022 Support and administer third-party applications
\n\u2022 Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
\n\u2022 Resolve problems reported by end user
\n\u2022 Research and make recommendations on server system administration<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 A minimum of 4 years post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
\n\u2022 Relevant advance professional Level IT certificates or industry competency based certifications
\n\u2022 Must belong to the relevant professional association\/body\/institution<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Good knowledge in IT system designs, Data and specification analysis
\n\u2022 Good knowledge and understanding of IT security, systems, operations and general protocols
\n\u2022 Good knowledge and understanding of IT regulations, standards and general protocols
\n\u2022 Good knowledge and understanding of Business Process Analysis for IT Application systems
\n\u2022 Good knowledge and understanding of IT Application System Testing
\n\u2022 Knowledge of public sector rules, regulations, systems and procedures
\n\u2022 Basic administrative skills (i.e report-writing, basic-problem solving & presentation)
\n\u2022 Research and analysis skills
\n\u2022 Ability to lead teams<\/p>\n
