{"id":61658,"date":"2021-10-11T10:39:58","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T10:39:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=61658"},"modified":"2021-10-11T10:39:58","modified_gmt":"2021-10-11T10:39:58","slug":"kinross-gold-corporation-jobs-2021-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/kinross-gold-corporation-jobs-2021-3.html","title":{"rendered":"Kinross Gold Corporation Jobs 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To lead the execution of the strategy for mine operations and ensure business plans align with the organization\u2019s overall goal.<\/p>\n<p>To formulate short and long term plans for the Underground mines to ensure continued growth of the mine operations in a cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the organizational strategic objectives<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Underground Mine Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the underground Mine in both development and production at a trackless mechanized mine to maximize safety, operational efficiencies and profitability.<\/li>\n<li>Set performance targets and measures, monitors and manages overall performance of employees and\/or contract workers at the Underground (UG) Mine.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively manage the annual operating and capital budgets for mine operations, consistent with Kinross\u2019 established financial guidelines and business planning process.<\/li>\n<li>Formulate and execute strategies that support the growth of mine operations; ensures strategies are linked to the organization\u2019s overall strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Advise and cooperate with all other departments affected by changes in mine operations and assists in overall mine management through interaction with other departments<\/li>\n<li>Determine staffing levels and personnel requirements for Underground Operations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure there is a comprehensive and effective succession management strategy in place for the operation; identifies succession role requirements and high potential talent and actively develops key talent<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the Forecasting \/ Strategic Business Planning \/ Budgeting, and formulate training strategies for all UG Staff.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate operation policies and directives to ensure consistency with safe operating procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Education and Experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.<\/li>\n<li>Underground Mine Manager\u2019s certificate of competency.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years working experience in an underground mining environment.<\/li>\n<li>Additional specialized training or education in project management, operations management, safety and risk assessment or continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the Duty of Care Standards, Occupational Health &amp; Safety Regulations, and Mining Inspection Act &amp; Regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in multiple underground mining methods, use of explosives, ground support and backfill placement.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of underground rock mechanics, mine planning, survey, ventilation requirements and principles.<\/li>\n<li>Budgeting, planning and scheduling experience required as well as financial (cost) management.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications including word, excel, power-point and outlook.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible rotations including night shift and demonstrated ability to work under pressure safely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To lead the execution of the strategy for mine operations and ensure business plans align with the organization\u2019s overall goal.
