{"id":6287,"date":"2011-11-28T09:38:02","date_gmt":"2011-11-28T09:38:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=6287"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:11:34","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:11:34","slug":"ghana-red-cross-society-vacancies-3-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ghana-red-cross-society-vacancies-3-positions.html","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Red Cross Society Vacancies (3 Positions)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The Ghana Red Cross Society (GRCS) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the position.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0<strong>Secretary-General:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities for Secretary-General:<\/strong><br \/>\nAs Chief Executive of the National Society, he\/she will be responsible for the:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Day-to-day functioning of the organisation and report to the President and Board<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen links with Government and local\/international Partners<\/li>\n<li>Resource mobilization for execution of programmes<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordination of integrated health, disaster and organizational development programmes<\/li>\n<li>Regular monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring execution of Operational plans<\/li>\n<li>To advocate and promote the Red Cross fundamental principles; Humanity, Independence, Neutrality, Impartiality, Voluntary service, Unity and Universality<\/li>\n<li>Should be ready to work at odd hours and travel extensively in and outside the country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Commensurate with qualification and experience<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of Master&#8217;s degree from a competent administrator with social sciences background and at least 5 years post qualification experience or first degree with at least 15 years post qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>At least five years experience in Humanitarian work at Senior management level\\\\<\/li>\n<li>Good at Report writing, communication skills and ability to meet strict deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Team player with ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>2. Regional Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities for Regional Manager:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Day-to-day functioning of the organisation at the Regional and report to the Secretary General<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen links with Government and Partners<\/li>\n<li>Resource mobilisation for execution of Operational plans and monitoring of projects<\/li>\n<li>Should be ready to work at odd hours<\/li>\n<li>To advocate and promote the Red Cross fundamental principles; Humanity, Independence, Neutrality, Impartiality, Voluntary service, Unity and Universality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Commensurate with qualification and experience<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree from a competent administrator with social sciences background and at least 3 years post qualification experience or first degree with at least 7 years post qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>At least five years experience in Humanitarian work at Senior management level<\/li>\n<li>Conversant\u00a0 with First Aid and knowledgeable in Humanitarian work<\/li>\n<li>Good report writing, communication skills and ability to meet strict deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Team player and ability to co-ordinate projects<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>3.\u00a0Health Co-ordinator<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities for Health Co-ordinator:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management and coordination of health programmes in the National\u00a0Society and report of the Secretary General<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen links with Government and Partners<\/li>\n<li>Support disaster management<\/li>\n<li>Resource mobilisation for health programmes, execution of Operational plans and monitoring of projects<\/li>\n<li>Should be ready to work at odd hours<\/li>\n<li>To advocate and promote the Red Cross fundamental principles; Humanity, Independence, Neutrality, Impartiality, Voluntary service, Unity and Universality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary:\u00a0<\/strong>Commensurate with qualification and experience<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in public health or relevant field with at least 3 years post qualification experience or first degree with at least 10 years post qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>At least five years experience in Humanitarian work at Senior management level<\/li>\n<li>Good at Report writing and Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player and ability to co-ordinate projects<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Applicants must submit their detailed CV together with a vision for the position applied and a plan of action for the first two years to:<\/p>\n<div><strong><br \/>\nOFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT<br \/>\nGHANA RED CROSS SOCIETY<br \/>\nP.
