The mine is located in a tropical climate in the Western Region of Ghana<\/p>\n<p><strong>Artisan III HME Drill Rig Mechanic (C1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job:<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Heavy Mining Equipment Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine is seeking to employ a dedicated, experienced and self motivated individuals to fill the position of an Artisan III HME Drill Rig Mechanic.<\/p>\n<p>The incumbent shall be responsible for ensuring the application of knowledge and experience to maintain Drill Rigs in a responsible, safe, efficient and effective manner for high equipment availability and reliability, while ensuring that management systems, policies, procedures, standards are adhered to.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute daily routine work strictly according to Procedures and Standards<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a comprehensive record\/file of applicable standards and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Undertake daily routine fault tracing and maintenance of drill rigs<\/li>\n<li>Undertake maintenance in a timely manner to meet targets<\/li>\n<li>Encourage inputs from the work groups which lead to continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Suggest improved ways of performing tasks<\/li>\n<li>Carry out responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner ensuring compliance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective use of PPE according to standard procedures<\/li>\n<li>Identify and provide full reports on risks and hazards<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for own safety and that of others<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that areas of responsibility are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Around (3) years experience in Drill Rig Maintenance preferably (D45KS BLAST HOLE RIG)<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in safe lifting practices<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work for long hours to obtain the required results<\/li>\n<li>Well developed oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Medical fitness for the position and environment<\/li>\n<li>A valid Ghanaian drivers&#8217; license &#8211; Group (E)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Interested parties should submit their curriculum vitae to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>Daniel W.
