The successful candidate will be an experienced consultant with a proven record building business and leading technical teams. He\/she will be available and medically fit to travel to project sites, work in a team environment and apply a high degree of problem-solving in the execution of duties. Ghanaian National or holder of a valid transferrable work permit will be an advantage. This full-time position will be based in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties And Responsibilities Will Include<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide visible leadership is HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) stewardship<\/li>\n<li>Lead team on all specialist environmental studies and projects<\/li>\n<li>Develop strong client interactions and business development on environmental studies, management plans, audits and advisory type of works<\/li>\n<li>Support stakeholder engagement and social assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Write proposals for environment and social projects.<\/li>\n<li>Support the execution of environmental and\/or social projects including:\n<ul>\n<li>Write and\/or review environmental and social impact assessment reports.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and implement environmental management plans on related projects including due diligence requirements<\/li>\n<li>Perform audits and provide specialist opinion and recommendations to clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Provide training support and mentorship to peers and junior engineers\/scientists<\/li>\n<li>Lead the environment team to the successful delivery of projects through gathering and interpretation of field data, delivery of written reports and assist in project management and administration.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with line manager and Business Unit Leads who will be responsible for guiding your development in the consulting field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Qualifications, And Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preferred minimum qualifications and skillsets include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters\u2019 degree in environmental sciences or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable and progressive experience in environmental consulting and management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in oil and gas and mining will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Applied understanding of, and proven experience in international and lender standards.<\/li>\n<li>10-15 years of progressive experience in the consulting field will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Progressive project experience in Ghana and West Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of software, MS Project.<\/li>\n<li>A Ghanaian national or holder of a valid transferrable work permit will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to build business and maintain strong client relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a high level of business acumen, to deal well with clients, work in multi-disciplinary teams, be problem solvers and be passionate about investing in their career growth.<\/li>\n<li>A high attention to detail, technically strong in your specialist field and with a recognised and growing professional profile.<\/li>\n<li>Strong project management capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to write well, and<\/li>\n<li>Multilingual skills will be an advantage, particularly French<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Benefits At Golder Will Include<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive benefits and remuneration package;<\/li>\n<li>Deepen your expertise in a dynamic work environment;<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to deepen your expertise in a dynamic work environment;<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and collaborative multidisciplinary projects; and<\/li>\n<li>On the job training, mentoring, and coaching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Renowned for technical excellence, Golder is a leading specialised employee-owned engineering and consulting firm with over a half century of successful service to its clients.
