Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Assistant Transport Officer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Specific Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties among others in the Transport Department:<\/p>\n \u2022 Ensure the maintenance and servicing of the vehicles. Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n Applicants must possess the following qualifications:<\/p>\n \u2022 A minimum of WASSCE\/SSSCE\/GBCE\/GCE Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Applicants must have at least three years relevant post-qualification experience in a reputable organisation.<\/p>\n Key Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Strong leadership and logistical skills. \n\u2022 Maintain an up-to-date database of all the institution\u2019s vehicles.
\n\u2022 Arrange for repairs and routine maintenance.
\n\u2022 Conduct regular inspection of vehicles.
\n\u2022 Maintain and complete accurate records.
\n\u2022 Keep schedules and organise team members.
\n\u2022 Check vehicles\u2019 log Information.
\n\u2022 Submit regular and comprehensive monthly reports on vehicle movements, fuel usage and problems.
\n\u2022 Assist in allocating and rotating appropriate work assignments.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Automobile\/Mechanical Engineering
\n\u2022 A Valid Driving Licence \u2018C\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Effective negotiating skills
\n\u2022 Ability to work well with and to influence others.
\n\u2022 Good attention to detail.
\n\u2022 Effective communication skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent geographical knowledge.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of transportation vehicles.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of procedures, laws and regulations<\/p>\n
