{"id":63982,"date":"2022-01-05T10:22:38","date_gmt":"2022-01-05T10:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=63982"},"modified":"2022-01-05T10:22:38","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T10:22:38","slug":"design-and-technology-institute-vacancies-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/design-and-technology-institute-vacancies-2022.html","title":{"rendered":"Design and Technology Institute Vacancies 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To ensure timely receipt of all payments due the institute as well as perform diversified accounts payable functions in line with Financial and other organizational policies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accounts Officer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handle the preparation of all student bills and follow up to ensure timely settle<\/li>\n<li>Receive fees and other payments by cash, cheques and money transfers.<\/li>\n<li>Post daily receipts and maintain Accounts receivable documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Handle cash and deposits using proper accounting procedures and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all receipts and payment vouchers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely deposit of payments are made to the Bank.<\/li>\n<li>Process journal entries and online payments and transfers.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain cash and ledger books accurately.<\/li>\n<li>Update receivables by totaling unpaid fees.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate collections on post- due accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate payment procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the propriety and accuracy of all expenditures.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Handle the preparation of all student bills..<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all receipts and payment vouchers.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Petty Cash System in the office.<\/li>\n<li>Disburses petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely deposit of payments are made to the Bank.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Bank reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Process journal entries and online payments and transfers<\/li>\n<li>Maintain cash and ledger books accurately<\/li>\n<li>Initiate collections on post- due accounts<\/li>\n<li>Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs such as<\/li>\n<li>Safeguarding<\/li>\n<li>Gender programming<\/li>\n<li>Community project<\/li>\n<li>School to work transitions<\/li>\n<li>Workplace experience<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY RELATIONSHIPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Internal:\u00a0<\/strong>Other Departments<\/p>\n<p><strong>External:\u00a0<\/strong>GRA, SSNIT<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate should possess:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in Accounting or Finance or a part professional qualification in ACCA\/ ICA \/CIMA\/CPA<\/li>\n<li>Must have a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance<\/li>\n<li>Have an analytical mind and be comfortable with numbers<\/li>\n<li>Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy (familiarity with Excel, and other Accounting Software\/ applications)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOB PURPOSE To ensure timely receipt of all payments due the institute as well as perform diversified accounts payable functions in line with Financial and other organizational policies.
