{"id":6404,"date":"2011-12-18T20:39:36","date_gmt":"2011-12-18T20:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=6404"},"modified":"2013-12-26T08:17:10","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T08:17:10","slug":"ministry-of-education-ghana-quantity-surveyor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ministry-of-education-ghana-quantity-surveyor.html","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Education Ghana: Quantity Surveyor"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><em><strong>The Government of the Republic of Ghana<\/strong> has received a Grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) toward the cost of the Access, Quality Improvement and Retention Enhancement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to eligible payments under the contract for the engagement.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Purpose of the job:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To Prepare Construction Costs, Bill of Quantities and Analyze various stages of Construction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0To prepare cost plans, estimates, bill of quantities and Bidding Documents prior to floating of bids in line with Public Procurement Act 663<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of preliminary estimates for projects based cost analysis of completed projects and based on sketch designs prepared by an\u00a0Architect<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Bills of Quantities based on working drawings prepared by an Architect<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of cost of variation orders arising out of Architect&#8217;s instructions issued<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of fluctuation claims based on market conditions\/suing the formula method<\/li>\n<li>Re-measurement of substructure and other works described as &#8220;Provisional&#8221; in Bill of Quantities<\/li>\n<li>To guide and supervise Clerk of Works and technical Staff dealing with project implementation<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with other Donor Project Managers and other Technical Staff for the preparation of Bidding Documents including drawings and\/or supervision of projects<\/li>\n<li>To submit regular progress rep rots<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of payment certificates<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of final accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must\u00a0possess BSc Building Technology from a recognized University<\/li>\n<li>Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in the Management and Supervision of Building Projects<\/li>\n<li>Must be familiar with the use of appropriate Quantity Surveyors Softwares<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit their application and detailed Curriculum Vitae on to the:<\/p>\n<div><strong><br \/>\nTHE DIRECTOR<br \/>\nFUNDS &amp; PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT UNIT<br \/>\nMINISTRY OF EDUCATION<br \/>\nP.
