{"id":6408,"date":"2011-12-18T20:42:35","date_gmt":"2011-12-18T20:42:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=6408"},"modified":"2013-12-26T08:17:10","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T08:17:10","slug":"ministry-of-education-ghana-architect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ministry-of-education-ghana-architect.html","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Education Ghana: Architect"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><em><strong>The Government of the Republic of Ghana<\/strong> has received a Grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) toward the cost of the Access, Quality Improvement and Retention Enhancement Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to eligible payments under the contract for the engagement.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Purpose of the job:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To undertake Needs Assessment and prepare complete working as well as undertake physical Audits and Monitor Construction Activity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<br \/>\nDesign Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Site Survey analysis to determine Client&#8217;s operational needs, preparation, direction and coordination of design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preliminary Survey\/design:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Conceptual site planning development<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sketch design development with relevant 3 dimensional impressions<\/li>\n<li>Measured drawing of existing facilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pre-Contract:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Preparation of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Block plan relating to the orientation of the given site plan or layout. Showing external Works<\/li>\n<li>Fully dimensional floor plant(s) reflection the mutually accepted sketched design<\/li>\n<li>Roof plan showing detailed members<\/li>\n<li>Elevation, sections and details<\/li>\n<li>Door and Window schedule<\/li>\n<li>General equipment and furnishing layout<\/li>\n<li>Conceptual Electrical and Mechanical Layout<\/li>\n<li>Finishing Scheduling and Specification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other pre-contract activity:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and review preliminary designs, for current existing structures to justify need for expansion (remodelling, refurbishment, renovation and conservation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Post-Contract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the direction, and coordination of the Consultant&#8217;s work<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the direction and co-ordination of the Main Contractor and the Specialist Sub- Contractor&#8217;s Works<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the direction and integration of designs by suppliers who may design and execute any part of the work<\/li>\n<li>Periodically inspect and supervise the works as may be necessary to ensure that construction work is related to the Architectural and Structural\u00a0Engineering proposals and the works being executed in accordance with the contract<\/li>\n<li>Represent in site meetings to review the project progress, quality of the work and financial issues<\/li>\n<li>Provision of additional sections, details for construction to the Consultants and the Contractor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Carry out Technical auditing and other technical assignments by the Director<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a Post Graduate Degree in Architecture<\/li>\n<li>Must possess BSc Architecture<\/li>\n<li>At least three (3) years Post Qualifications experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates should submit their application and detailed Curriculum Vitae on to the:<\/p>\n<div><strong>THE DIRECTOR<br \/>\nFUNDS &amp; PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT UNIT<br \/>\nMINISTRY OF EDUCATION<br \/>\nP.
