Internal Audit Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Adehyeman Savings and Loans Limited (ASL) is a non-bank financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana to provide financial services. As part of our expansion program and business strategy, we require the services of a smart, confident, performance oriented and experienced professional to be employed as Internal Audit Officer<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check the branch\u2019s adherence to all policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Checks branch compliance with accounting and internal control protocol by:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Confirming authorization for cash disbursement and office expenses;<\/li>\n<li>Scrutinizing accounts classification;<\/li>\n<li>Scrutinizing cash handling procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Confirming a separation of duties such as prohibits opportunities for fraud;<\/li>\n<li>Confirming the safekeeping of cash and files;<\/li>\n<li>Verifying balances in client deposit accounts, internal accounts and external accounts;<\/li>\n<li>Assessing the adequacy of staff output to the branch\u2019s current level of business.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Ascertains the existence and true value of accounts by:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Counting and reconciling cash on hand with the Daily Cash Journal;<\/li>\n<li>Confirming balances of inventories, loans, repayments, etc;<\/li>\n<li>Scrutinizing the rate of aging on loans; and<\/li>\n<li>Confirming account balances with creditors and debtors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Checks allocated budgets against actual expenditures to report any discrepancies;<\/li>\n<li>Checks the inventory list and depreciation schedule.\u00a0 In addition, confirms that the branch\u2019s assets agree with its official inventory list, and that its fixed assets are accurately and consistently depreciated;<\/li>\n<li>Discusses the audit process with branch management and staff prior to conducting it, and afterward to clarify initial findings and recommendations;<\/li>\n<li>Prepares audit reports; and<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the branch\u2019s compliance with audit recommendations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have auditing experience preferably in a similar environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conduct thorough investigation<\/li>\n<li>Must pay attention to details<\/li>\n<li>Must be trustworthy and a person of integrity<\/li>\n<li>Must be results oriented<\/li>\n<li>Analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of a university degree\/ professional qualification in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Affiliation to any Audit Professional Body will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of one year work experience in auditing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special \/ Personal Abilities:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determined personality with initiative and perseverance<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and marketing skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft office applications<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with little or no supervision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Branch Manager:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Adehyeman Savings and Loans Limited (ASL) is a non-bank financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana to provide financial services. As part of our expansion program and business strategy, we require the services of a smart, confident, performance oriented and experienced professional to be employed as Branch Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervises and coordinates all activities of the branch including general office management<\/li>\n<li>Implements policies, procedures and internal controls at the branch<\/li>\n<li>Ensures key performance indicators, key risk indicators, and key control systems are monitored and updated on a monthly basis to provide assurance on the quality and robustness of controls<\/li>\n<li>Prepares and submits relevant reports on branch operations to management<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that the targets agreed with the management are reached<\/li>\n<li>Plans and controls the liquidity of the branch<\/li>\n<li>Decides on all operational issues within the framework of existing regulations and management decisions<\/li>\n<li>Ensures key operations reconciliations (payment orders, interbranch accounts and clearing) are carried out continuously and efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Chairs the Branch Credit Committee (BCC) and participates in evaluating, approving, or rejecting loans according to the level of discretion<\/li>\n<li>Plans personnel capacity, selecting new staff and evaluating existing staff in accordance with management; Ensures that the branch staff maintain very high morale and adequate and updated training;<\/li>\n<li>Plans and coordinates the annual leave of the branch staff within the branch.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other human resource line management duties at the branch level in consultation with the HR Department<\/li>\n<li>Develops good customer relationships and maintains personal contact with them in order to ensure customer satisfaction<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that all customer enquiries and complaints are effectively dealt with<\/li>\n<li>Plans and initiates promotional measures within the target markets of the branch;<\/li>\n<li>Scouts for new business opportunities within target markets and recommends new product development<\/li>\n<li>\u201cChampions\u201d the deposit mobilization efforts within the branch\u2019s area of coverage;<\/li>\n<li>Performs independent balancing of all records;<\/li>\n<li>Branch facility management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in economics, accounting, business administration; and\/ or a relevant professional qualification.<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years experience in sales, marketing, credit and deposit operations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the microfinance sector\/market in the operational areas of microfinance<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the branch manager position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special \/ Personal Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to design and implement effective financial systems and policies at branch level<\/li>\n<li>Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team<\/li>\n<li>Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of reliability and correctness<\/li>\n<li>Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach<\/li>\n<li>Excellent managerial skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and marketing skills<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Microsoft applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0Deputy Credit Manager &#8211; Strategy, Product Development &amp; Portfolio Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Adehyeman Savings and Loans Limited (ASL) is a non-bank financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana to provide financial services.
