You will report to the Chief Financial Officer as per existing structure and may be amended from time to time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Finance Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountable for the preparation of financial reports for a number of areas.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with accounting standards at a group level.<\/li>\n<li>Provides technical assistance to business units and liaises with key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Integrates accounting and tax knowledge in terms of analysis and interpretation of technical issues.<\/li>\n<li>Guides systems and process development and ongoing improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to finance strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Manages a team of accountants and accounting specialists.<\/li>\n<li>Keeps abreast of current accounting and tax developments.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties assigned by the Line Manager or their representatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accountabilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team Effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Individually accountable for others\u2019 time, tasks and output quality over periods of three months to a year.<\/li>\n<li>Balances own priorities with directing and motivating others.<\/li>\n<li>Plans &amp; assigns work over periods of three months to a year.<\/li>\n<li>Guides and directs staff to achieve operational excellence standards.<\/li>\n<li>Creates a climate for optimal performance.<\/li>\n<li>Manages performance.<\/li>\n<li>Selects potential staff to sustain customer \/ client service delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Governance &amp; Compliance<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with accounting standards, at a group level.<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to finance strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Guides systems and process development and ongoing improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Integrates accounting , actuarial and tax knowledge in terms of analysis and interpretation of technical issues.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Reporting<\/li>\n<li>Accountable for the preparation of financial reports for a number of areas.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the Group Financial Reporting process; this includes ownership of the annual year-end and interim reporting processes.<\/li>\n<li>Provides technical assistance to business units and liaises with key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance and \/ or related field from an accredited University.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience with at least 3 years at Management level is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Accountant would be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Multinational work experience is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>In depth knowledge of IFRS.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to lead a team.<\/li>\n<li>Strong MS Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of local tax regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aligning performance for success<\/li>\n<li>Decision Making<\/li>\n<li>Information Monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Planning &amp; Organizing<\/li>\n<li>Ownership<\/li>\n<li>Technical Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Thinking Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This role ensures compliance with accounting standards at a Group level.
