{"id":6488,"date":"2011-12-28T15:09:44","date_gmt":"2011-12-28T15:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=6488"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:09:55","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:09:55","slug":"sandvik-mining-and-construction-ghana-careers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/sandvik-mining-and-construction-ghana-careers.html","title":{"rendered":"Sandvik Mining and Construction Ghana Careers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Workshop Technician Job Vacancy<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Sandvik Mining and Construction Ghana Ltd is a company that markets a broad range of services utilized in the mining and construction industry and it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sandvik Ab, a company listed on the Stockholm stock exchange.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of Job:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Carry out general mechanical duties including maintenance and repair of all Sandvik equipment and components to the right standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform mechanical maintenance as directed to a standard that maintains the integrity of the equipment and components and does not compromise safe operation<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for safe work environment by contributing to Job Safety analysis, engineering technical standards, facility standards and work practices<\/li>\n<li>Perform repair and fault finding using manuals<\/li>\n<li>Provide relevant feedback to enable maintenance planning improvements in terms of efficiency and equipment integrity<\/li>\n<li>Work towards achieving set workshop KPI&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to all SMC Policies &amp;\u00a0Procedures especially the SHERQ policies<\/li>\n<li>Carry out work in accordance with set budgets and time frames<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Position will be based at Obuasi<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technician qualification in a mechanical discipline. Experience in heavy duty equipment preferred<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of drills and loaders will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of electrics will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to members of the team<\/li>\n<li>Some level of computer literacy would be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Would also be required to work at or from other SMC sites across West Africa.
