Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited, which is currently developing a gold mine located near Ayanfuri, is inviting applications for the above position, from suitably qualified and experienced persons. Payables Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The position is based at the Company&#8217;s Ayanfuri Mine Site, reporting to the Payable Accountant. The purpose is to ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of suppliers, contractors, and other service providers invoices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The duties and responsibilities of the position include,\u00a0 but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To maintain an accurate invoice register<\/li>\n<li>To ensure timely processing of supplier invoices into the Pronto System<\/li>\n<li>to assist the Payables Accountant in ensuring prompt and accurate payment of suppliers for goods and services supplied in accordance with agreed payment terms<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with suppliers and answer all their queries promptly<\/li>\n<li>Assist in ensuring suppliers balances are accurate in the payables ledger at all times<\/li>\n<li>Obtain supplier statements from suppliers to reconcile with ledger balances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills\/Attributes Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A university degree, its equivalent or other relevant qualification<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable knowledge and at least two years working experience in accounts payable<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Pronto software will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Effective English communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0Payroll Accountant<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited, which is currently developing a gold mine located near Ayanfuri, is inviting applications for the above position, from suitably qualified and experienced persons. The purpose is to ensure accurate and timely processing of payrolls, and payment of salaries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The duties and responsibilities of the position include,\u00a0 but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of salaries to all employees of Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited and Sun Gold Resources Limited<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely payment of all employees&#8217; superannuation\/pension fund contributions as applicable<\/li>\n<li>Provide relevant information to the Financial Controller (Ghana) to enable all payroll taxes, levies, and charges to be accurately calculated<\/li>\n<li>Ensure employees&#8217; details, and balances of cash advances and\/or loans are accurately maintained in both the payroll master file and the General Ledger<\/li>\n<li>Administer and reconcile staff loan\/advances schedules<\/li>\n<li>Respond to all payroll enquiries raised promptly and efficiently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills\/Attributes Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully qualified or part-qualification of a professional accounting body<\/li>\n<li>A university degree or its equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable knowledge and at least three years working experience in payroll<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Pronto software will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Effective English communication, time-management, and interpersonal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested qualified applicants should submit one MSWord document only which includes a cover letter, detailed CV of his\/her qualifications and work history, and the names of at least 3 contactable referees.
