The UK is one of Ghana’s largest donors, supporting the Government of Ghana and other partners to reduce poverty, support growth and achieve high quality outcomes in health and education.\u00a0Following an extensive review at the beginning of 2011, the UK Government department\u00a0responsible for the aid programme – the Department for International Development (DFID) – launched a new Operational Plan. As part of this plan, DFID Ghana is now looking to recruit a number of key posts, to help the enlarged office manage a substantial annual budget and to deliver significant results that improve the lives of some of the poorest people in the country, whilst creating the jobs and economic growth needed to sustain further development in years to come.<\/p>\n
