The British High Commission (BHC)\u00a0in Accra has vacancies for six (6) positions as follows:<\/p>\n
Residence Manager<\/a> Community Liaison Officer<\/a> Temporary Communications Officer Political and Communications Assistant<\/a>
\nThe LE3 Residence Manager is a part-time (30 hours per week). She\/he will be responsible for budgeting and financial management, planning, organizing and directing all services, including reception, food and beverage operations and housekeeping.<\/p>\n
\nThe job-holder will support UK-based officers and their families prior to their arrival in Ghana, during their settling in period, and thereafter. But the job requires more than this \u2013 working between various teams within the BHC and DFID Ghana, contributing to and monitoring the high quality of customer service expected from the BHC\u2019s Corporate Services Team.<\/p>\n
\n<\/a>The job-holder will need to work across the BHC and beyond, to the other parts of the UK Government \u201cfamily\u201d in Ghana, to promote the UK Government\u2019s engagement with Ghana and to help build internal cohesion through a joined-up communications effort. The Communications Officer will work closely with all Heads of Section, reporting to the 2nd Secretary Political and Deputy High Commissioner.<\/p>\n
\nLE3 Political and Communications Assistant, supporting the Political Team and the Communications Officer to promote the BHC\u2019s work in Ghana. The day-to-day tasks will include the full range of typical administrative tasks to support lead officers in high-profile parts of the BHC, but with significant engagement and liaison with the BHC\u2019s external contacts. The Political and Communications Assistant will report to the Political Officer.<\/p>\n
