With a farm in Kumasi, Ghana, Legendary Foods seeks to farm locally desired insects as a way to address food insecurity. Legendary Foods farms the palm weevil larva, a local delicacy that has been traditionally harvested. Legendary Foods seeks to rapidly scale its production, co-develop packaged products, take advantage of export opportunities to other West African countries and to advance research on the palm weevil larvae while building a conscious company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position<\/strong>: <strong>Sales Account Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Kumasi, Ghana<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Date<\/strong>: As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role description<\/strong>: Legendary is looking for a passionate individual to have a significant &amp; highly impactful contribution to the organization\u2019s sales function, drive sales growth and direct sales strategy. The candidate should have the ability and willingness to ride a motorbike<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: DO NOT APPLY IF YOU NOT ABLE AND WILLING TO RIDE A MOTORBIKE\u00a0<strong>Tasks\/duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Engage in Active Selling<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pitch products to businesses and potential customers.<\/li>\n<li>Strategically identifying potential B2C and B2B clients to grow small to large business accounts through initiating and closing the sales on products<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a professional network of potential clients\/customers and business opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Generate sales by prospecting leads, cold calling, and negotiating advantageous deals.<\/li>\n<li>Execute sales strategy and provide feedback to pivot sales strategy with sales managers<\/li>\n<li>Assess and implement a methodology to increase B2C &amp; B2B sales<\/li>\n<li>Contribute collection efforts<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate deliveries<\/li>\n<li>Door to door selling<\/li>\n<li>Product education with individual &amp; business customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Manage Customers + Customer Feedback<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer\u2019s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with field sales, retailers, and wholesalers to understand product requirements and limitations<\/li>\n<li>Additional responsibilities upon request.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate should be adaptable and flexible with the understanding that Legendary Foods is a quickly growing company and it is a start-up environment. This means that all people may occasionally have to do things outside of their strict department or role responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Must be highly organized, have a positive attitude, be highly energetic, and willing to engage in active field sales activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requisite Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle<\/li>\n<li>Customer Relationships, Customer Retention, Market Research.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task (not in a given moment but over days and weeks), prioritize and manage time effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Customer orientation and ability to adapt\/respond to different types of characters<\/li>\n<li>Proven customer support experience<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills (oral)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pivot &amp; adapt, mobilize resources quickly<\/li>\n<li>Driven by results and sales<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to move around and travel to hot and congested areas<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity<\/li>\n<li>Conform to a results-driven, target-based role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reports to<\/strong>: Business Development &amp; Sales Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supported by<\/strong>: sales team, business analyst, accounting team &amp; processing team<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:\u00a0<\/strong>Compensation commensurate with experience. Compensation will be part base + part bonus based on targets.
